Former North Andover Wrestling Coach Gets 4 Months In Jail For Child Porn

SALEM (AP) — One of the state's most successful high school wrestling coaches has been sentenced to four months in jail on possession of child pornography charges.

David Castricone was sentenced Wednesday in Salem Superior Court to 2 ½ years behind bars, with all but four months suspended, and three years of probation.

The judge gave the 61-year-old Castricone credit for 26 days served, reducing the sentence to three months.

Prosecutors had asked for a three-year sentence.

Authorities say Castricone had about 20 images of naked girls ages 6 to 9 on his computer and in printed form.

Catsricone was also spotted going into the girls locker room at North Andover High School.

Castricone coached for 38 years, the last 25 at North Andover.

He had a 681-142-3 record and two state championships.
