Boston Businesses Await iPhone 5 Announcement

BOSTON (CBS) - After a long wait, we'll soon know the new features on the iPhone 5.

It will be unveiled tomorrow, and there's been a lot of speculations.

Analysts are predicting it will have a bigger screen, a slimmer body, a faster process, a better camera, and a new map system with an improved GPS.

The new iPhone is expected to need a new charger.

At "i Fix Your i " on Newbury Street, Robert Walker can't wait to see the new phone. Walker says, "It means we get to grow and develop a little bit further, and we get to learn a little bit more about the inner workings of what Apple does."

At Gazelle.com in South Boston, which buys used iPhones, they're expecting a million hits to their website with the announcement.

Anthony Scarsella, the Chief Gadget Officer at Gazelle.com, says it will be their version of Black Friday, explaining, "We expect our site to be flooded with requests."

Scarsella says, "For our business it's definitely a milestone. It's going to be one of the biggest events in the history of the company. We're really looking to set up record breaking numbers and buy up as many iPhones as possible.

It could also boost the U.S. economy. Experts believe sales of the iPhone 5 could add as much as half a percentage point to gross domestic product growth in the fourth quarter.

It's expected to be on store shelves September 21st.
