Was there more to his exit than his declining skills?

“I think Beckett is delusional,” Tony Massarotti said. “That’s what my big gripe with Beckett has been here over the last year. This notion that somehow he’s a victim. … He brought all this on himself. Josh Beckett brought all of this on himself. And if he thinks really that there wasn’t an issue with what happened last September or with this season, or that this is all just a result of not pitching well, then he’s more delusional than I thought.”
