Bilodeau said the girl apparently distracted a Zoo Creatures store employee while the man made off with the snake.
“If you’re going to steal, steal on your own,” Bilodeau said. “Don’t bring your daughter into it.”READ MORE: 'In Like A Lion': March Weather Brings Drastic Swing In Temperatures This Week
Bilodeau says he’s upset, but not surprised that someone would target the snake.
“They don’t bark; people aren’t allergic to them because they don’t shed; you only have to feed them once a week. So you go on vacation, you feed them before you go on vacation, and your pet is going to be okay,” he said.
The snake is the second animal stolen from the store in recent days.MORE NEWS: South Attleboro MBTA Station Closes Due To 'Deteriorating' Pedestrian Bridge
