Sean McAdam On Gresh & Zo: Beckett Far More Disappointing Than Lester
CSNNE Red Sox Insider Sean McAdam called in to talk to Hardy and Mike Flynn about the Red Sox. The guys talk about Josh Beckett, Jon Lester, and Wednesday's 10-9 loss to the Rangers.
"The really good front-line guys figure out a way to minimize the damage when they don't have their best stuff," McAdam said. "And their bad outings are four, five, maybe six runs scored. Beckett's bad outings this year -- the first one of the year in Detroit, the infamous one against Cleveland right after the golf/lat incident, and the one yesterday afternoon -- you can't be giving up eight runs and not giving your team a chance to win.
"Even though they've both been disappointing, I think Beckett has been far more so."
McAdam discusses what the Sox can do in the future with Beckett and whether the righty's mind-set is OK.
