She won an individual gold medal Tuesday finishing first in the women's gymnastic floor exercise.  It's the first Olympic gold for the U.S. in that event.

Earlier in the day, Raisman earned a bronze medal after finishing third in the individual balance beam, which was won by China's Deng Linlin.

Raisman was awarded the bronze after winning a tiebreaker with Romania's Catalina Ponor.
