Quincy Dad Turns In Daughter Over Serial Bank Robberies
QUINCY (CBS) – A suspected serial bank robber is facing charges after her father turned her in.
Merredith Cunniff, 37, was arrested at her father's home in Quincy on Thursday.
Police believe she's responsible for robbing Sovereign Bank in Marshfield, Mt. Washington Bank in South Boston, and Colonial Federal Savings Bank in Quincy.
Cunniff's father told police he saw the surveillance pictures from the robberies online and recognized them as being his daughter.
Police say Cunniff's family believes she is suffering from substance abuse problems.
