Young Man Arrested For Haverhill Double Murder
HAVERHILL (CBS) – Police have arrested a man wanted for last week's double murder in Haverhill.
Twenty-year-old Juan Carlos Sanchez of Haverhill was captured Sunday evening after a chase through the woods off Prospect Street, about a mile away from the scene of the killings.
Twenty-year-old Andy Guzman of Lawrence and 19-year-old William Melchionda of Haverhill were shot and killed July 23 at a home on River Street.
Two other men were wounded but survived.
There's no word yet on a motive.
Sanchez now faces two counts of murder.
He will be arraigned Monday in Haverhill District Court.
