Wednesday's Child: 9-Year-Old J.J.

BOSTON (CBS) - Jesse James, or J.J. for short, is a 9-year-old boy of Caucasian descent.

He loves school, playing with his friends, and playing video games. JJ's favorite stores are Toys "R" Us and the Chuck E Cheese restaurant.

He is described by the adults in his life as a boy who is very sweet, smart, outgoing, and affectionate.

JJ loves to spend time with his foster family, where he has formed great attachments.

He also does very well in school, where he benefits from being part of a small classroom to help him to stay focused.

Legally free for adoption, J.J. would do well in a two-parent home or with a single mom, with or without older children.

J.J. needs a stable and loving family that is able to set firm limits, be consistent, and offer him a nurturing environment.

A family that is able to advocate for J.J.'s emotional and educational needs would be ideal. J.J. will continue to shine with the love and stability of a permanent family.

To learn more about J.J., and about adoption from foster care, call the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) at 617-54-ADOPT (617-542-3678) or visit www.MAREinc.org. The sooner you call, the sooner a waiting child will have "a permanent place to call HOME."
