VT Teen Climbs 50 Highest Points In US

BOSTON (CBS) - A New England teenager has just completed an incredible journey.

Last year, Kristen Kelliher from Norwich, Vermont became the youngest woman to hike the highest point in the continental United States.

Since then, she has hiked the highest point in all 50 states.

Kristen graduated high school a semester early to train and raise money to climb Mt. McKinley.

She accomplished her goal last month.

She shattered the record as the youngest female to complete all 50 peaks, beating the old record by more than 12 years.
