300-Pound Baby Bull On The Loose In Rehoboth

REHOBOTH (CBS) - A 6-month-old bull weighing 300 pounds is on the loose in Rehoboth.

The bull escaped from a farm off Wood Street, just after arriving at its new home.

"If you don't acclimate to the proper place that he's living, he doesn't know where home is. He's trying to find home," said Animal Control Officer Jane Foster.

Authorities are hoping to capture the bull before it possibly gets hit by a car.

The bull was reportedly last seen on Water Street.

This bull, because of its age, will likely run off when it spots people.

"He's afraid of people. He's a baby...We he sees people, he runs away. He doesn't want to go near you," said Foster. "If you go and rope him, he'll drag you, but nobody should be roping him unless they know what they're doing."

Adult bulls can weigh up to 2,000 pounds.
