Chuck Norris Donates Gifts To Mass. Church's Fundraiser

SHELBURNE FALLS (CBS) - St. Joseph Parish in Shelburne Falls is looking forward to its annual fall fundraiser after receiving a generous gift from Chuck Norris.

"This is the biggest one we have gotten from a celebrity," said church parishioner Nancy Finn.

Norris' Kick Start Foundation is giving the church a small home fitness system. The church hopes to auction it off for as much as $800.

"Any kind of donation from any of them, it means something to us. This just happens to be a bigger one that we are really hopeful is going to raise us quite a bit of money," said Finn.

The money raised from the fundraiser will go toward church repairs, charities, and outreach programs.

"We have a couple of charities, one in Haiti, and we donate to Heifer project.  It enables us to continue our donations to these projects," Finn said.

The church hopes this act of kindness by Chuck Norris will inspire other celebrities in the future.
