Clippers Reach Deal With Crawford, Cancel Meeting With Ray Allen

BOSTON (CBS) -  The Los Angeles Clippers are no longer interested in free agent guard Ray Allen, according to the LA Times.

The Clippers cancelled their Friday meeting with Allen after reaching deals with both Jamal Crawford and Chauncey Billups Thursday afternoon.

With that, it appears Allen's likely landing spots are down to Boston and Miami.

Allen was in Miami on Thursday meeting with the Heat, who have been making a full-court press to sign the veteran sharpshooter. On Tuesday, LeBron James tweeted out a picture of Allen in a Heat uniform, and both he and Dwyane Wade are said to be making their case to Allen personally.

The Celtics are still interested in bringing back Allen, and are set to offer him a two-year, $12 million deal. That is more than Miami can offer the 16-year-veteran their mini-mid level exception, worth up to $3 million annually for three years.

The Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves have also shown interest in Allen.
