Blue Angels Soar Over New Hampshire

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (CBS) – WBZ-TV got a bird's eye view of the high flying maneuvers that will be on display all weekend at the Portsmouth-Boston Air Show.

It is considered one of the biggest air shows in America and spectators will get to see the best of the best, including the world famous Blue Angels. Getting them was a big coup for a show only in its third year.

"We're competing with people all over the world so we're very lucky to have them here. It's their only performance in New England," says Organizer Steve Wade.

The Blue Angels are flying both to entertain and to recruit.

Other pilots like Mike Goulian of Maynard are flying to make your jaw drop.

"A lot of people say we're crazy," he says. "I take that as a compliment. That means we're doing our job well."

Crowds are expected to exceed 50,000 people each day.

The show starts at 11 am Saturday and Sunday, but they're telling everyone get there early. Crowds are expected to be big and the traffic could get a little crazy. CLICK HERE for more information.
