Source: Maura Hennigan Now Target Of State Ethics Commission Probe

BOSTON (CBS) - An elected official, exposed by the WBZ-TV I-Team, is facing new questions for using court workers to help with her campaign.

Sources tell the I-Team Suffolk County Criminal Court Magistrate Maura Hennigan is under investigation by the State Ethics Commission.

This comes after the I-Team exposed Hennigan for using court employees to address labels for her campaign fundraiser during court hours.

Hennigan said she was not present when this happened and didn't instruct employees to address the envelopes.

She has already paid a $2,000 fine for campaign finance violations.
