Gresh & Zo : Possibility Of KG Coming Back to Celtics

Boston fans may only have baseball to watch, but there is plenty to talk about when it comes to the Boston Celtics.

Heading into a summer of uncertainty, there have been some rumors that Kevin Garnett would hang it up after his 17th NBA season. However, former head coach and close friend of KG Flip Saunders -- who was an advisor for the Celtics at the end of last season -- thinks Garnett is certain Garnett will rejoin the C's for another season.

Gresh and Zolak discussed Garnett's return, with Zo saying there is only one man to get KG back.

"Doc is the one that convinces him to come back," said Zolak. "I don't think it's Danny (Ainge), Wyc (Grousbeck)  or any of the players. I think it's Doc."

"I still think it's Kevin Garnett asking himself if it's worth the effort the has to put in to get to where he wnats to be, to be the player he wants to be; is it going to be worth it from a team perspective," said Gresh. "Basically, can they sell Kevin Garnett on their plan and does KG really believe in his heart that he can continue to play at something close to this level, and they can put it together and make it all work."

"KG has to know that, at 36, if he is going to kill himself during the offseason that there is going to be a payoff, and he's not just going to be part of a team that gets to the second round and peters out," added Gresh.
