Elaborate Flash Mob Marriage Proposal Surprises Mass. Native

SURPRISE ENDING - Flash Mob Marriage Proposal by ccjone01 on YouTube

MANHATTAN (CBS) - "Completely surprised" is how Massachusetts native 29-year-old Allison Leclaire describes her reaction to a flash mob marriage proposal in New York City from her future husband Craig Jones.

Leclaire, who grew up in Seekonk, Mass. and still has family there, lives in New York. She was expecting to meet Jones in Bryant Park in Manhattan for lunch recently.

What she didn't know was that Jones hired a dance company and a 140-person high school marching band, and convinced both families to head to New York to help him pop the question. He also rented several cameras, in order to make sure the moment was captured.

The proposal took nearly four months to plan and cost Jones about $9,000 to piece together.
Perhaps it's no surprise that the video has received attention from national media outlets.

Jones, a financial consultant, and Leclaire, a textile designer are both Syracuse University graduates.
Oh, and of course, she said yes. The couple is planning a 2013 wedding.
