Big Dig Repaving Project Underway In Boston

BOSTON (CBS) - Repairs are underway on the Haymarket and Sumner Tunnel ramps to Route 93.

Crews will spend the next few weekends repaving parts of the Big Dig that include the ramp from the Tip O'Neill Tunnel as well.

The original concrete on the roadway was supposed to last decades, but has already seen significant crumbling.

It's being replaced with asphalt.
