BARNSTABLE (CBS) – A young woman has been charged with a hit-and-run that left a bicyclist dead on the Cape early Thursday morning.
Police say Sheila Moretta and her friend were riding their bikes home from work on Route 28 when Moretta was hit by a car.READ MORE: 2 Million People Now Fully Vaccinated In Massachusetts
The driver stopped briefly, but left the scene.

The driver’s license plate was left at the scene. Officers said they later tracked down the driver at about 3:30 a.m. on Main Street in Falmouth.
Twenty-two-year-old Angelica Barroso of West Yarmouth was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident. Police say alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.

She is being held on $2,500 cash bail.
