Franklin Teen Accused Of Recording Sucker Punch Pleads Not Guilty

WRENTHAM (CBS) – The teen who is alleged to have recorded an assault at Franklin High School has pleaded not guilty to criminal charges.

The charges against 18-year-old Jeremiah Ramirez include a wiretap violation, aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.

Ramirez is accused of recording one student sucker punching another and then posting it on the Internet.

Investigators say David Salmon, a junior, was the teen caught on video ambushing 18-year-old Cory Pingeton April 26 in a hallway at the high school.

Salmon pleaded not guilty to felony assault charges Monday.

Ramirez is being held on $1,000 cash bail. If he makes bail, he was ordered to stay away from Franklin High School, the victim and ordered to have no Internet access.
