Road Race To Honor Greenland, NH Police Chief

BOSTON  (CBS) --   Police in New Hampshire are planning a memorial road race to honor the police chief who was shot to death while serving a warrant at the home of a suspected drug dealer.

The idea for the run  Sunday,  April 28th came from an officer who wanted to honor fallen Greenland Chief Michael Maloney.

The 5.4-mile run, dubbed "The Chief Maloney Memorial Run," will kick off at the Portsmouth Police Department headquarters and end at the police station in Greenland.

Maloney was shot and killed while trying to help four drug task officers who were wounded on April 12th.
