NightSide - Producer Rob Brooks' Vacation At Pax East

BOSTON (CBS) - Always a workaholic (except when it comes to housework), for his vacation WBZ NightSide producer Rob Brooks was in the Wizards of the Coast booth at PAX East. PAX East is a video game exhibition show. This was the third year PAX (Penny Arcade Expo - http://east.paxsite.com/) was held in Boston.

The game Rob was showing was Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012. It's currently available on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and on PC though Steam. This summer Duels of the Planeswalkers comes out for those systems as well as Ipad for the first time. (Check it out at http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Digital/DuelsOfThePlaneswalkers.aspx

Also in the booth was Team Unicorn. (Photo with Rob. Michele, Rileah and Clare.) One area was for trying out Duel of the Planeswalkers, and another area where PAX East attendees could challange a member of Team Unicorn to a game of Magic: the Gathering - Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012. Be sure to check out their page at http://teamunicornftw.com/ Sadly, Rob didn't have a lot of time to hang out with Team Unicorn as there was much demoing to be done. They are very good players, and would most certainly have trounced Rob in Magic. These young actresses are indeed "Creating a new standard of Awesome".

The other booth for Wizards of the Coast was for Dungeons & Dragons. The upcoming storyline is called "Rise of the Underdark". There was a large statue of the evil Queen of Spiders (Half elf, half spider, all bad attitude.) named Lolth.

As part of the storyline, an online Dungeons & Dragons game (Free to play, too! www.ddo.com) had posters and campaign buttons and posters. Lolth is running for President, and has Rob's vote.

And finally, to add some audio, here's Rob with Morgan White Jr. on the Steve LeVeille Broadcast December 25th, 2011 talking about the Muppets.
