9-Year-Old Shot In Head In Hollis, NH

HOLLIS, NH (CBS) – A nine-year-old boy was found shot in the head Friday morning at his home in Hollis, New Hampshire.

Hollis Police Lt. Richard Mello said someone at the child's home called 911 around 9:30 a.m.

The boy was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Nashua and eventually moved to Mass. General.

There was no word on his condition and Lt. Mello said the incident was under investigation.

According to The Nashua Telegraph, the child, who police have not identified, is home-schooled.

The Telegraph also reports that the weapon used was a small-caliber handgun.
