32 Arrested In Mass. Child Porn Sweep

FRAMINGHAM (AP) — Authorities say 32 men have been arrested on child pornography possession or dissemination charges after a statewide sweep over the last week.

State, local and federal law enforcement officials announced the arrests Tuesday at Massachusetts State Police Headquarters in Framingham. The investigation, called "Operation Corral" is part of an ongoing inter-agency task force effort.

Authorities said the investigation focused on peer sharing sites where child pornography images are posted. Those arrested range in age from 17 to 62.

State police superintendent Col. Marian McGovern said the arrests are a "stern message to those who prey on these children and support the evil trade that exploits them."
