Driver Killed, Passenger Seriously Hurt In Medway Crash

MEDWAY (CBS) - A 22-year-old driver was killed and his 22-year-old passenger was seriously injured after the car they were riding in struck a large tree in Medway early Sunday morning.

John Garvey was pronounced dead at the hospital. His passenger, William Choate, is listed in serious condition at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.

Police said the car was traveling north on Holliston Street at around 12:45 a.m. before crossing over the southbound lane and into a large tree.

The car then struck a wooden face and rock wall before coming to rest in the front yard of a home, police said.
