BOSTON (CBS) – A rock legend went above and beyond to make a wish come true for a young fan Monday. Bruce Springsteen was in town for a concert at the TD Garden, and made one family’s night before the show even started.

Five-year-old Carter Bernhard suffers from Spina Bifida and wanted to meet “The Boss.”

So, the Make A Wish Foundation decided to make it happen. Carter traveled to Boston in a limo, had a VIP dinner and then a meet and greet backstage. Bruce also gave Carter an autographed guitar.

The Massachusetts and Rhode Island chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

Isn’t it so refreshing that a multi-millionaire took time out of his schedule to meet w/someone less fortunate…we treat these people like gods…springstein should be thrilled carter took time out of his busy schedule to meet w/him

And your cynicism improves the situation how, exactly?

      1. Hugh Carres says:

Bruce sings ‘Baby we were born to run’ in one song.

Jimbo’s song is ‘Baby I was born to be a schmuck!’

Does it pretty darn well too.

come on! For God sakes can’t we be positive in a positive situation!!! So many people do nothing to give back to the unfortunate instead of being synical look in the mirror

I think it’s wonderful that a busy man such as Springsteen can have empathy for a little boy who is a fan. People don’t realize what a grueling schedule some of these singers have when they are on tour doing concerts. I’m sure one little boy went home very happy that day. Bruce is the boss!!!

Springsteen is a loudmouthed liberal donkey
