New Balance Plans To Expand Brighton Headquarters
BOSTON (CBS) - New Balance has filed plans for a $235 million expansion of its Brighton headquarters that will include a hotel, office buildings, a stadium for track and field and a hockey rink.
If this is approved, New Brighton Landing would be built on a 14-acre parcel of vacant buildings and parking lots on Guest Street.
Under the proposal filed with the city Wednesday, the new 10-story New Balance headquarters would feature 250,000 square feet of office space with ground floor retail space.
The company said in the filing they're very focused on creating a thriving Boston neighborhood focused on health and fitness.
New Balance also offered to contribute to the funding of an Everett Street stop on the Framingham-Worcester MBTA commuter line, if the T decides to move forward with it.
