Salem Witch Trial Document From 1692 Up For Auction
SALEM (CBS) - A document from the Salem Witch Trials is expected to fetch big bucks when it hits the auction block on Thursday.

It's an original court indictment of Margaret Scott, who was among the last of 19 people hanged during the hysteria of the 1692 Salem Witch Trials.
"This was one of two documents that were issued against Margaret Scott, who came from Rowley, Massachusetts, and unfortunately she was found guilty at her trial and she was executed along with seven others in September of 1692," said Trask.
The document is being sold at Swann Auction Galleries in New York City.
"An estimate value of $25,000 to $35,000. I think that's way undervalued. There's only been one document before this one that was also on sale, another legal document, and that went in excess of $75,000," said Richard Trask, the Danvers town archivist and a leading expert on the trials.
Trask said this is only the third time in his 50-year career he can recall a witch-craft document being sold.
