Sara Bareilles Presents $10,000 Check To Needham High School

NEEDHAM (CBS) - A local mom just scored some big bucks for her child's school and she got a big named singer-songwriter to help present the check.

Monday, Sara Bareilles was at Needham High School handing over a $10,000 check earmarked for music education.

Debra Baron entered the nationwide "Nice Job, Mom We Rock!" contest, honoring moms who keep their families' health and happiness in perfect harmony, and won.

Bareilles says she's thrilled to be involved.

"It was a huge blessing and huge gift for me to be a part of this program," she said. "It's a lot of fun."
