Patriots Release DL Mike Wright, OL Rich Ohrnberger

BOSTON (CBS) - The New England Patriots have released defensive lineman Mike Wright and offensive lineman Rich Ohrnberger, the team announced Wednesday.

Wright played in the 2011 season opener against the Dolphins, registering a tackle and half a sack, but was placed on the injured reserve in October after suffering another concussion. The defensive lineman suffered multiple concussions during the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

Wright originally signed with the Patriots as a rookie free agent in 2005. He totaled 174 tackles and 15 sacks in 81 games for New England, including a career-high 5.5 sacks in 2010.

Ohrnberger did not appear in any regular season games last season after being placed on injured reserve on September 3. He was originally drafted by the Patriots in the fourth round in 2009, but played in only five games over his three-year career.
