BOSTON (CBS) – The New England Aquarium announced it is launching a $15 million rebuild of its central tank.

“We are going to completely change that exhibit. We will redo all the windows, we’ll place an entirely new reef in the center of the exhibit. We’re going to put a dome over the top and add a new education center at the top,” New England Aquarium President Bud Ris told WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Laurie Kirby.

The giant round ocean tank is home to some of the most fascinating creatures in the sea. The aquarium says it will be adding a number of new fish species to the tank.
