Suspicious Box Responsible For Roxbury Scare Contained Rocks

ROXBURY (CBS) - The mystery behind a hazardous materials scare Wednesday in Roxbury has been solved.

Julian Street in Roxbury was shut down for a time Wednesday afternoon when someone found a mysterious box in a home's basement.

The box had a label on it indicating that what was inside was radioactive. So, the homeowner called authorities.

After scanning the box, the fire department determined the box really wasn't a threat.

On Thursday, they opened the box and found a bunch of rocks.
