BOSTON (CBS) – A Cape Cod astronaut is settling in as the new commander of the International Space Station.
Dan Burbank has begun his four month stint as commander of the six man space station crew. It’s his third trip.
His wife Rosyln, on Cape Cod, says she’s now looking forward to the weekly calls from space.
She and her two children traveled to Kazakhstan to watch Dan lift off Sunday on a Russian Soyuz rocket.

Rosalyn says, “It was very exciting and it was also very rewarding seeing the cosmonauts and being with their families.”
Two Russian cosmonauts joined Burbank for the space flight.
