Protesters To Occupy Northeastern's Krentzman Quad For 48 Hours

BOSTON (CBS) - Protesters plan to "occupy" Northeastern's Krentzman Quad for 48 hours, a time period that began Sunday afternoon.

The Occupy Northeastern movement will be in solidarity with other "Occupy" protests across the U.S.

"Occupy Northeastern strives to raise consciousness about the vast economic inequality in this country and how it undermines democracy," the group said, in a statement.

Those involved with the protests expressed their excitement to join their peers at campuses like Harvard and others around the world.

A live webcam of the Krentzman Quad is streaming on Northeastern's website.
