The 10-day sunny stretch was well-deserved after the late October Nor'easter.

Watch Melissa's forecast:

Rain returns today with downpours around the region this afternoon.

High temps are still running above the average in the lower to middle 60s.

The moisture is being derived from a swath from T.S. Sean and a cold front heading our way from the midwest.

Rainfall amounts will range from ~.50" to as much as 2" potential for areas south of the city.

Winds will be  breezy from the east-southeast.

The cold front moves east overnight tonight which will allow for clearing to take place Friday (Veterans Day) morning.

Cold air advection will provide cooler air along with gusty WNW winds during the day.  Highs will hang around the 50F degree mark.

This weekend:

Quiet weather returns!

Yes, we are expecting mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.

Highs will be in the lower to middle 50s on Saturday with highs climbing near 60F on Sunday.

Melissa :)
