Peabody Essex Museum Quietly Raises $550M To Help Fund Growth
SALEM (CBS) - The Peabody Essex Museum in Salem has stunned the museum community with word it has raised more than half-a-billion dollars, and will raise millions more to fund a major expansion and endowment.
The campaign raised most of that money from within, without any public appeal.
Once the goal is reached, the Peabody Essex Museum will rank among the top 12 museums in the country.
