Annual Running Of The Brides Held In Newton

NEWTON (CBS) - Dozens of brides-to-be lined up early Friday morning for the annual Running of the Brides.

This year's bargain-priced wedding dress sale is similar to years past, with 1700 dresses on sale – and prices starting at $250.

Brides try on dress after dress – hoping to find The One.

Laura Dunse is looking for some sparkle in her dress. Her mom and maid of honor help in the hunt.

The search is competitive -- turning even the nicest brides into bridezillas.

The one difference this is that it's the first year the Running of the Brides has been held outside of Boston.

The event was moved to Newton because the Downtown Crossing location is still being renovated.
