BOSTON (CBS) – Citizens Bank customers were reporting problems with all sorts of electronic banking Friday.

They haven’t been able to access online banking, ATM’s did not work, and their debit cards would only work if customers used them as credit cards.

“We have identified a technical issue and are working to restore service as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience, thank our customers for their patience and ask that they check back with us later today,” Citizens spokesman Jim Hughes said in a statement to WBZ-TV.
