TOWNSEND (CBS) – A home in Townsend was leveled Saturday evening by a massive explosion.

Fire officials said the home at 10 Barker Hill Road blew up around 5 p.m.  The blast could be felt through the entire neighborhood.

Firefighters from Townsend, Dunstable, Pepperell, Lunenburg, Ashby and Fitchburg were all on scene.

No one was injured in the blast.

The residents were at the home less than 30 minutes before the explosion.

The cause of the blast is under investigation.
