AP Source: Setti Warren To Drop Out Of Senate Race

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Setti Warren plans to drop out of the Senate race in Massachusetts.

A Democratic official familiar with Warren's decision said Wednesday that the Newton mayor would make his announcement at an event Thursday morning. The official requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly.

Chuck Gilboy, a spokesman for Warren, declined to say Wednesday if Warren was dropping out.

Warren has had trouble raising money among the Democrats hoping to challenge GOP Sen. Scott Brown. Consumer advocate Elizabeth Warren has garnered much of the attention since joining the crowded Democratic field this month.
