BOSTON (CBS) – After months of preparation, the Boston Globe has split its boston.com and BostonGlobe.com websites.

The Globe will soon start charging $3.99 a week for a digital only subscription to BostonGlobe.com.

Globe Publisher Chris Mayer tells WBZ that starting in October, access to the complete paper will only be available at the pay site.

I guess people will pay for it if they have insomnia and are seeking an online remedy for it. One of the most boring newspapers of all time.

I agree the Globe is so boring. They are not creative at all. Here we are in Boston, and the city is filled with creative journalist and writers and the Globe has the most bland reporting style. Do they ever dare to think different, be different and create news articles that people want to reach out for each day. No, they just don’t get it. They report on the most sleepy subjects. You can read 3 paragraphs from their writers and you learn nothing. Like many others, we won’t pay for their pathetic production of a newspaper
