BOSTON (CBS) – Two Boston police officers are recovering from injuries following an overnight crash.

The officers were responding to reports of shots fired in the area when their cruiser hit a building across the street from the Dudley Street fire station.

The officers were taken to Boston Medical Center for non life-threatening injuries.

There’s no word on what caused the crash.

    The building just came out of nowhere….it was ticketed and fined for reckless endangerment of a police officer after the accident

    I’m sure that the building’s owners will have to pay for damages to the cruiser.
