Irene Knocks Tree Limb Onto Leicester Police Cruiser

LEICESTER (CBS) - A Leicester police officer escaped injury Sunday morning when his cruiser was struck by a falling tree limb.

The cruiser was hit at around 8:15 a.m. on Manville Street in Leicester during the height of Tropical Storm Irene.

The damaged cruiser, which was taken out of service, has several thousand dollars in damage.
