BOSTON (CBS) – Red Sox centerfielder Jacoby Ellsbury will miss his third straight game as Boston opens a three-game series in Texas on Monday.

Ellsbury was hit by a pitch in the back by Royals reliever Everett Teaford on Friday. Although he stayed in the game and later scored a run, Ellsbury did not play Saturday or Sunday. He underwent and MRI and was diagnosed with a back contusion.
