YouTube Video Shows Wayland Victim Interviewing Suspect's Musician Dad

WAYLAND (CBS) - Lauren Astley dated Nate Fujita on and off for three years, and had a friendly relationship with his family.

On Facebook, Astley was even a fan of Fujita father's music page, and when Astley had to interview someone for a school project, she turned to him.

The video, seen on YouTube, shows Astley interviewing Fujita's father Tomo for a school project.

The topic was Tomo Fujita himself. He was portrayed as an immigrant from Japan coming to America, establishing himself and living his dream.

WBZ-TV's Kate Merrill reports.

Tomo Fujita has worked with famous musicians like John Mayer and Randy Jackson. The well-respected artist told Astley that passion is the most important part in music.

The video shows a friendly relationship between the teenager and Tomo Fujita, and why not? Astley dated their oldest son Nate off and on for three years.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Rod Fritz reports.
