Celtics Make Qualifying Offer To Jeff Green

BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Celtics have made a qualifying offer to Jeff Green, making the forward a restricted free agent.

By doing so, the Celtics can match any offer made to Green by other teams.

The fourth year forward joined the Boston after the highly controversial trade of Kendrick Perkins to the Oklahoma City Thunder. In 26 games, Green averaged 9.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and shot 49-percent from the field during the regular season.

He averaged 7.3 points per game in the playoffs.

For the season, Green averaged 13.3 points and 4.8 rebounds between Oklahoma City and Boston.

The Celtics also exercised their option on point guard Avery Bradley.
