Patriots Take Giant Offensive Tackle With First Round Pick

BOSTON (CBS) - The New England Patriots had a pair of draft picks Thursday night.

With the 17th overall pick, the Pats took offensive tackle Nate Solder.

Solder is from the University of Colorado.

He lists at an enormous six-foot-eight-inches and 319 pounds.

Matt Light is a free agent, so the team could be setting up Soldier as his replacement.

With six-foot-eight Sebastian Vollmer, Tom Brady could end up having the twin towers on his sides.

The Pats traded away their 28th overall pick to New Orleans for a second round pick this year and a first round pick in 2012.
