Boston Parking Officers Help Catch Mugging Suspect
Update Dec 2022: Charges against Filipovic were later dismissed.
BOSTON (CBS) -- Two of Boston's parking enforcement officers are being commended for helping in apprehending a robbery suspect.

According to police a man approached an off-duty college police officer around 2:30 a.m. Friday on Charles Street. The suspect demanded the officer's wallet and when the officer refused, he tried to muscle it away from him.
When the officer yelled for help parking enforcement officers Jay Richards of Dorchester and William Mills of Mattapan were able to hold onto the suspect until police arrived.
Mateo Starcevic Filipovic, 20, has been charged with attempted unarmed robbery. He is an international student from Croatia and held on $1,000 cash bail. He is ordered to return to Boston Municipal Court on May 20.
