5-Year-Old Found Critically Injured On Revere Sidewalk
REVERE (CBS) -- A five-year-old boy is in critical condition at Massachusetts General Hospital after he was found on a sidewalk on Revere Beach Parkway in Revere Friday.
At 4:40 p.m. on Friday, the District Attorney's office announced they had arrested the child's mother's boyfriend, 28-year-old Joseph Testa.
Testa will face charges of assault and battery on a child causing serious bodily injury, wantonly or recklessly permitting bodily injury to a child, and child endangerment.
He is expected to be arraigned Monday in Chelsea District Court.
State police and Revere police are investigating the incident, and say the boy had a visible head injury. The boy's name is not being released.

Officers on scene say they talked with a man who said he was the child's babysitter. An apartment has been secured in the building of which the boy was found in front.
