BOSTON (CBS) - It's a program here in Massachusetts designed to keep kids safe.

Podcast

Talking to children about sexual abuse can be a challenge for adults, but the Children's Trust Fund of Massachusetts has an ongoing program that can help with this sensitive topic.

Marybeth Dwyer of the Children's Trust Fund says the "Talking About Touching" program has a unique way of dealing with the subject of sexual abuse.

Child-serving agencies are trained in this program so they can educate and empower parents, caregivers and kids about the best ways to keep children safe. Dwyer says this program has a very important function.

Dwyer says "Talking About Touching" creates a comfortable context for discussing prevention with pre-school and elementary school students through grade 3.
